Subcontracted Welding Engineer/RWC services
With the increasing use of ISO3834 and EN1090 many smaller fabricators (and some large ones too!) are experiencing a need for a qualified Welding Engineer or Responsible Welding Coordinator at Comprehensive level. To many companies this is problematic as there are insufficient welding engineers in the UK to meet demand, and many fabricators workscope and turnover does not really justify employment of a full time welding engineer.
GWE can assist in this respect by supplying fully qualified welding engineering support on a subcontract basis. For companies seeking certification to ISO3834/EN1090 this can be on a long term basis with scheduled visits to your premises supplemented by on-line support, or it can be project specific for companies who need a welding engineer for a particular job.
For companies needing to be accredited/certified to ISO 3834/EN1090 it is necessary to enter into a formal agreement with our welding engineer being listed on your certificate as your RWC.
GWE currently supply subcontracted welding engineering services to several small fabricators but are also subcontracted to supply the Comprehensive level Welding Engineer/Responsible Welding Coordinator to the new Forth Road Bridge constructors, a three tower cable stayed bridge which at 1,940 metres in length is the largest bridge to be built in the UK for some time.
The level of support given is tailored to suit your needs, and would typically include:
